Squeri said that traditional credit cards, compared to cryptos, give their customers a chance to dispute rewards, service and charges.
Squeri also said that currently, crypto assets are more prominent as an “asset class”.
The AMEX CEO stressed that digital currencies can make cross-border payments “much more seamless.”
Squeri also referred to the card’s use to purchase digital collectibles like the NBA Top Shot, saying that AMEX’s biggest role right now could be in the world of NFT and stablecoins.
