Popular coffee chain Starbucks has released its earnings report. In the published report, it was stated that crypto money can be loaded on Starbucks cards.
There is a longstanding debate over whether Starbucks will accept cryptocurrencies. The company made a statement on the subject in its earnings call and announced that crypto money can be loaded on Starbucks cards.
The company, which is already in partnership with Bakkt and PayPal, used the following statements in its quarterly earnings report:
“We are working on payment with PayPal and Bakkt so that a customer can now top up a range of cryptocurrencies to their Starbucks card. Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies can be converted to fiat currency and loaded onto the card. ”
The following statements were included in the continuation of the statement:
“We are exploring how to tokenize stars through blockchain or other innovative technologies, creating the ability to connect other merchants’ rewards programs to Starbucks Rewards. This will allow customers to exchange value between brands, participate in more personalized experiences, enhance digital services and earn other loyalty points for Stars at Starbucks. ”
