CashApp, a money transfer app developed by Jack Dorsey’s company Square, now fully supports the Bitcoin (BTC) Taproot update.
CashApp, which is currently only active in the US and UK, is used in 70 million transactions per year. In addition, it has a profit of 1.8 billion dollars.
The Bitcoin Taproot update has been long awaited by the crypto community. The update went into effect on block 709.632 on November 14, 2021.
The most important part of the Taproot update is increased privacy and reduced transaction fees.
