Coinbase, the largest US crypto asset trading platform, is testing a new subscription service called Coinbase One. The service will offer users zero transaction fees and priority support.
According to the news reported by The Block, Coinbase is testing a subscription service that will allow its users to access advanced features. The service will first be made available to a very small number of users. The service includes some features like zero transaction fees and priority phone support even on public holidays. The fee the company will charge for this new service is not yet clear.
Coinbase also plans to offer additional account protection:
“If any funds in your Coinbase account are stolen by someone you don’t know due to an account takeover, you may be eligible for a refund of up to $1 million in losses. ”
A company spokesperson said the following on the subject:
“Coinbase has started testing a subscription product for our customers. Customers in the test group will have the ability to buy, sell and convert digital currencies on the Coinbase platform without a Coinbase fee per transaction (spread fees still apply). We serve our customers in different ways. We’re still in the early stages right now, so everything about the future product experience will be shaped by the feedback we get from our users. ”
