850. Cryptopunk NFT worth $ 000 accidentally sold for under $20,000
A lucky investor bought one of the most expensive NFTs for a fraction of its real price.
The NFT in question worth at least $850,000, CryptoPunk 7557, which should have been sold for 4,444 ETH, was sold for 4,444 ETH just because of a punctuation mark.
CryptoPunk 7557 is one of the few NFTs to be crowned. According to available information, there are only 55 of them.
Larva Labs, the team behind CryptoPunk, said that the cheapest “Tiara Punk” is 350 ETH. The last CryptoPunk sale with Crown was around 197 ETH ($843,000).
An interesting aspect of this transaction was that the buyer allegedly “bribed” a miner to complete the transaction in record time. According to the available data, the buyer paid the miner 3.33 ETH to confirm the transaction, so he could buy the NFT for an affordable price.
