According to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) data, global chip demand fell in November after September and October. Accordingly, China’s chip sales decreased by 21.2 percent, from $17.02 billion in November 2021 to $13.4 billion.
Sales in China suffered the biggest annual decline since July, according to SIA data.
China became the world’s largest semiconductor market with $192.5 billion in 2021.
In November, worldwide chip sales decreased by 9.2 percent compared to November 2021, from $ 50.09 billion to $ 45.48 billion. Global chip demand was $47 billion in September, down 3%.
China’s chip imports decreased by 11.7 percent in the 11 months ended November to $250.5 billion.
