The government of India will present a crypto bill in the winter session of parliament, according to an official bulletin from the country.
Bulletin published by Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s bicameral Parliament. The bulletin confirmed the news that the crypto bill will be presented at the winter session of parliament.
The bill is aimed at “creating a facilitating framework for the creation of an official digital currency to be issued by the Reserve Bank of India,” the statement in the bulletin says.
The bill additionally aims to ban all private crypto assets in India. But it does allow certain exceptions to promote the technology underlying crypto and its uses.”
Although this explanation of the last bill is similar to the bill in 2019, it does not seem possible for now to say anything definitive, as the two are the same.
