A gaming altcoin is up more than 130% after being listed on Binance, one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges.
Binance announced that it has added BinaryX (BNX) to the platform.
BNX is the native token used in CyberDragon, a fantasy role-playing (FRP) game in development on Binance Smart Chain. The token is designed to be used for community voting, hero recruitment, upgrades and other core game functions. Players can create characters, collect rare equipment, and win rewards by defeating enemies.
BNX is offered on Binance’s Innovation Zone, a dedicated trading space where users can buy and sell newer tokens that are likely to have higher volatility and pose higher risk to traders.
Opening the day at $101, BNX went vertical after the Binance announcement and reached $225 before settling at $116, according to CoinGecko.
Gaming altcoins and metaverse tokens have dominated the crypto space over the past few weeks, with even more market penetration following Facebook’s rebranding as “Meta” and plans to invest in the metaverse.
BNX is not the only metaverse token making waves on the Binance exchange. Another gaming altcoin called GALA has soared more than 540% following Binance’s announcement in mid-September.
