As an analyst on Twitter noted, the latest data from Google Trends shows increased interest in the search term “NFT”, outstripping the search for “crypto” for the first time this week.
Search Term “NFT” Gets Greater Interest Than “Crypto” According to Google Trends

Now, as you can see in the chart, interest in the search term “NFT” has been growing steadily since August. This week, for the first time, NFTs seem to be more popular than crypto.

The term crypto may be a result of Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market being stagnant for a while.
On the other hand, as the NFT market has been in a relatively growth phase for some time, it is only natural that interest will continue to rise.
The chart below shows that since August, NFT’s weekly trading volume has increased considerably, confirming the growing popularity.
Another factor is that since crypto is already a popular term, there may not be many people looking for such terms directly. There are many newbies who do not know and are looking for NFTs.
