Meme coin comment from Robinhood admin
Christine Brown, chief operating officer of Robinhood Crypto, the crypto arm of Robinhood, answered Shiba Inu questions during the app’s recent event. When asked when SHIB will be listed on the platform, “When is SHIB? One of my favorite things is to see the community around these coins. You know, they’re letting us know what they really want,” he said.
But he also said he couldn’t talk about being listed, that Robinhood isn’t trying to compete with other platforms trying to add as many cryptos as possible. He stated that their priority is security and used the following statements:
We feel that the short-term gains we can get are not worth the long-term trades for our users. We want to make sure we work and consider everything from a regulatory perspective. We are also a company that says “safety first”. This is how we will play.
