The founder of Polkadot, Gavin Wood, made statements about the project.
Wood delivered the keynote speech at the 2021 Shanghai International Blockchain Week this week. In his speech, the founder said that decentralization and security cannot be compromised in the pursuit of scalability and high transaction volume:
“Some teams overlooked the fact that decentralization and security are not optional features here. This is not something we can bend over… We will redouble our efforts to ensure that our networks are decentralized and peer-to-peer to the maximum extent technologically possible. ”
Wood also added:
“There will be other technologies as well to allow nodes while operating on the network to have some degree of privacy between each other for maximum levels of security while still being decentralized. ”
Polkadot Parachain Auctions
As we reported earlier, Polkadot is preparing to launch parachain auctions. According to a Polkadot blog post, the first batch of five Polkadot parachain auctions is scheduled to kick off on November 11, with a new auction each week.
Eleven parachain slots have been auctioned on Polkadot’s testnet Kusama, on the other hand, and 12 parachains are currently live for developers to build and test their code, products, and services.
