Despite the ongoing litigation between Ripple (XRP) and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the digital currency has seen significant growth this year.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse made a series of tweets on the subject, saying that on December 22, a year had passed since the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple’s Chris Larsen.

Garlinghouse, emphasizing that what he said before on the subject is still valid today, gave the following statements;
“This is an attack on crypto by the United States, not just Ripple. Some admit the SEC’s accusations and say it was a one-time event, but that is no longer the case. ”
2021 XRP’s Best Year Ever
Despite the current litigation, Garlinghouse added that 2021 is a breakthrough year for the cryptocurrency industry.
The CEO explained that 2021 is XRP’s strongest year ever and RippleNet had its best year to date as it experienced tremendous growth globally.
He also stated that transactions made through RippleNet have more than doubled since the third quarter of 2020. ODL transactions increased by 130% quarter-on-quarter, and network-wide ODL transactions accounted for 25% of total dollar volume in the third quarter.
