Robinhood enters the next phase of its crypto wallet launch.
According to Robinhood’s blog post, the beta phase for the “Wen Wallets” app, which will open crypto wallets to thousands of users of the platform, is scheduled to launch in mid-January.
Robinhood first announced its crypto wallet project in September and stated that it plans to launch an alpha phase with a select number of clients in October.
The company says it has now entered the beta phase after feedback from the group.
“Through our alpha program, we received feedback from the customer group on our waiting list.
They tested our first crypto wallet and shared detailed design and functionality feedback with our team to help us deliver a world-class experience.
Our design-first, customer-focused approach has been a hallmark of Robinhood from the very beginning. Although wallets offer a new experience with a different asset class, users who took part in the alpha test wanted the crypto wallet to be familiar and we will deliver it.”
