New York-based advertising company Silvercast Media said that the Shiba Inu ad in Times Square was fake and the ad was just an image.
Covering a full block on Broadway from 45th Street to 46th Street, the screen in Times Square attracts 1.5 million viewers per day.
The ad for Shiba Inu, the most popular cryptocurrency of recent days, went viral on Twitter when it was posted in Times Square on Sunday. A tweet published by US Senate candidate Shannon Bray on the subject managed to collect more than 5,500 likes.

Earlier this year, ads for meme cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and Safemoon appeared in Times Square, but the Shiba Inu billboard turned out to be not real.
