Plot next to famous rapper Snoop Dogg’s property in the metaverse has been sold for 71,000 SAND, equivalent to $450,000.
Someone seems to want to be California rapper Snoop Dogg’s neighbor in the metaverse. The plot next to the musician’s property at The Sandbox sold for around $450,000.
The buyer, who paid $450,000 for one of the properties in Snoopverse, is an NFT collector known as P-Ape. According to the OpenSea account, they have notable assets such as Bored Ape #6445 currently listed at 150 ETH and Mutant Ape #11089 listed at 80 ETH. Hearing the news, the famous musician asked, “Won’t you be my neighbor?” he tweeted.

Virtual lands in Sandbox are sold as NFTs. Sandbox LAND NFTs can be traded like other NFTs on platforms like OpenSea. The Snoopverse LAND NFT sale lists three properties in total, including the land that sold for nearly half a million dollars. The other two properties were sold for 55,000 SAND and 67,000 SAND, about $338,000 and $410,000, respectively.
