Starting Bitcoin (BTC) payments in Argentina, Strike plans to expand to Brazil and Colombia this year.
Bitcoin Lightning Network application Strike announced that they started to serve in Argentina.
According to the company’s statement, Argentines will be able to pay with Bitcoin, receive Bitcoin tips on Twitter, and use Strike’s transaction services.
This step is the first phase of the company’s Latin America expansion, which will include Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and “other Latin American markets”. The company first launched the payment app in El Salvador last March.
Strike works with many merchants and consumers in Argentina. The first integration and activation was launched in the city of San Martin de los Andes.
The company has quadrupled the number of its Latin American team and continues to recruit.
