Tesla announced production and delivery figures for 2022. The figures show that there is a very strong growth compared to the 2021 period.
A total of 1,369,611 million vehicles rolled off the production lines in 2022, an increase of 47% year-on-year. The company had managed to produce 930,422 cars in the previous year. Model 3 and Model Y make up the majority of such a large number of vehicles. These two models make up the entire 1,298,434 million vehicles produced. The more expensive Model S and Model X represent a small part of the pie, with 71,177 units.
These strong numbers are based on production starting at new factories like Gigafactory Texas and Gigafactory Berlin. It is not yet known how many units of vehicles were produced from the respective plants, as Tesla has not disclosed specific figures for each plant.
The company’s fourth quarter 2022 production figures are particularly strong. While Tesla produced 419,088 Model 3 and Model Y variants, it managed to produce 20,613 vehicles from Model S and Model X.
