The prestigious business magazine The Economist has sold its DeFi cover for $419,000.
As we reported recently, the leading magazine announced that it will be auctioned as NFT with the Alice in Wonderland themed DeFi cover, which has attracted great attention by the crypto community. The auction took place and NFT was sold for 99.9 ETH at the time of sale, which corresponds to $419,000.

The cover, titled , was created by a redesign of Sir John Tenniel’s original illustration by digital artist Justin Metz.
The magazine had this to say about the NFT auction:
“We have always written about the potential of technology to change the world, whether it is driverless cars or gene therapies… NFTs and the crypto infrastructure on which they are based can change finance. By printing and selling our own NFT, we experience this first hand. ”
