Digital Currency Group (DCG), the parent company of digital asset manager Grayscale, and international real estate firm Jamestown, will celebrate New Year’s Eve in the virtual world Decentraland.
The celebration will take place in Decentraland – One Times Square. A New Year’s Eve celebration is held every 31 December in One Times Square, a 26-story building located in the middle of Time Square in New York City. This time, it will also take place inside the virtual One Times Square, marking the first time a major cultural celebration has moved to the metaverse. DCG’s Simon Koster said:
“This event highlights how virtual events can be harmoniously integrated with real events to bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences to many who would otherwise not be able to attend. ”
Now metaverse development companies GrowYourBase and MetaVenture Studios are building Decentraland’s One Times Square.
