The US Department of Justice has sought a name to head the newly announced National Cryptocurrency Enforcement team. The department posted the job posting on the Federal government’s website, USAJobs.
A job description was made for the person who will chair the job posting. Accordingly, the director will lead “an experienced team of prosecutors investigating and prosecuting crypto cases in the name of combating the illicit use of cryptos.”
It was stated that the applicant would receive a salary between $144,128 and $172,500 depending on his experience. The job will also require working with state and local law enforcement as needed.
The director will also be responsible for liaising with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other agencies.
