Voyager Digital has partnered with Dallas Mavericks to increase brand awareness of crypto firms and drive adoption of cryptocurrencies.
Five-year agreement signed to educate people on the benefits of investing in cryptocurrencies.
The Dallas Mavericks, owned by Mark Cuban, became one of the first companies in the NBA to accept crypto as a payment method for game tickets and team merchandise. The company started accepting Dogecoin as payment earlier this year.
Cryptocurrency trading platform Voyager Digital has signed a deal with the Dallas Mavericks basketball team that aims to make cryptocurrencies more accessible and usable through fan engagement and other education programs.
Along with the five-year deal, the two organizations will seek to make cryptocurrency more accessible through education and community programs and fan engagement promotions.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said at a press conference on Wednesday:
“There’s so much hype, so much controversy, most people don’t really understand the basics behind it. With this tutorial, we will try to help our fans and mutual customers. ”
Steve Ehrlich, CEO and co-founder of Voyager, spoke as follows;
“Blockchain, cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin have been around for over 10 years, but people are just starting to learn about it. In the last nine months, we have seen a huge boom in interest in cryptocurrencies. ”
Voyager Digital is a public cryptocurrency platform with over 2 million verified users that allows traders to transact in over 60 currencies.
Ehrlich announced that he has partnered with Mavericks because their fans understand and embrace cryptocurrencies. Stating that he wants to interact more with the Dallas Mavericks community and Texas, Ehrlich added that Voyager is currently a US-based company, and that the company wants to expand to Europe starting from France by the end of March 2022.
