Apple is still the most valuable company in the world, although it has suffered great losses in terms of value due to the collapse of the Nasdaq, the American Stock Exchange, where it is traded recently. Moreover, let us remind you that the technology giant surpassed Google and Amazon in the list of the world’s most influential companies, which was announced recently. However, this does not change the fact that even Apple sometimes contradicts the law. Contrary to the law in developed countries has only one result: fines.
The news about the result of the fines imposed on the American technology giant came from France. The French supervisory authority fined Apple 8 million euros for collecting data from its users without their consent.
Apple added a new one to the penalties it ate
Providing detailed information about the misdemeanor committed, the institution announced that Apple’s aforementioned act was detected in the controls made in the iOS 14.6 version and that the data of the users who logged into the App Store while using this version were processed without permission.
On the other hand, the Apple representative, who made an assessment on this decision, stated that although they respect the decision, they do not find it correct, that every action taken is in compliance with French laws, and therefore they will appeal. In fact, the amount of fines imposed is quite reasonable compared to Apple’s fines for similar situations. However, since it is known that such situations have a snowball effect, Apple will want to prove its rightness in this regard.
