Data provided by whale watching platform WhaleStats shows that one of the largest whales in existence has bought five altcoin projects at bottom prices, including over $100 million in FTX Tokens (FTT) and Polygon (MATIC).

WhaleStats, whose data we share as , shows that the Ethereum (ETH) whale, whose crypto wallet exceeds $ 17 billion, purchased tens of millions of dollars worth of FTT, the crypto currency of the crypto derivatives exchange FTX:
- In one transaction, the whale purchased 1,408,969 FTTs worth $49 million at the time of acquisition.
- A second transaction saw ballilna purchase 1,049,990 FTT worth $36.51 million.
The whale, which is ranked number 557 in WhaleStats’ ranking of the largest Ethereum wallets over the stock market, also purchased 4,250,000 MATIC tokens worth $8.79 million. Polygon, a blockchain scaling solution, is trading at $2.05 at the time of writing.
Next is AAVE, the lending and lending platform’s governance token. WhaleStats shows that the colossal whale purchased 17,893 AAVEs, equivalent to $3.67 million. The same whale also jumped to Chainlink in a separate transaction, accumulating 61,401 LINK tokens worth $1.53 million. Finally, the Ethereum whale also bought Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), a cryptocurrency that represents Bitcoin (BTC) on the Ethereum network. According to WhaleStats, the whale swallowed 43 WBTC worth $1.80 million.
Whales continue to accumulate from bottom levels
In total, the whale has spent more than $101.30 million uploading five altcoin projects. The big buys were made during a correction that saw the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin drop to its 90-day low of $40,672. Despite the setback, many analysts believe BTC will break the six-digit mark this year.
