Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson shared Cardano’s 2022 goals.
Hoskinson talked about some of Cardano’s plans for next year in his Christmas broadcast on YouTube. Talking about Cardano’s achievements this year, Hoskinson said that there are more than 2 million assets on the network so far, most of them NFTs. He also mentioned that more than 127 projects have written code to build dApps on the network, with 20 to 30 projects scheduled to be released in the next three months.
Cardano’s Goals for 2022
According to Hoskinson, one of Cardano’s most important plans is to build institutions that support the project and initiate a formal open source project structure. Hoskinson used the following statements on the subject:
DeFi for African Countries
As it is known, Cardano is a project that focuses on African countries. At this point, it seems that the project will continue to increase its weight in the African continent in 2022. Hoskinson announced plans to install a financial operating system that will enable Africans to access DeFi services in the second quarter of 2022.
As we reported earlier, Cardano signed a partnership agreement with Tanzania to provide digital identity and financial authorization services. In August, it partnered with the European Business University of Luxembourg to provide more education opportunities for students in African countries.
Hoskinson also responded to the criticisms made in the past months, underlining that all the necessary equipment and tools that were previously missing are now available to achieve these goals.
