ETH founder Buterin makes no secret of his interest in Zcash and Tezos. He adds that he doesn’t think things outside the Ethereum ecosystem are “boring and illegitimate.” Vitalik Buterin said, “I think there are really fun and interesting things going on in the Zcash space. There are really interesting things going on at Tezos,” he reveals. Zcash developers announced that the project will move to a proof-of-stake consensus algorithm, following Ethereum’s roadmap. Buterin mentioned in his October blog post “Crypto Cities” that Nevada mayor Hillary Schieve is using the Tezos ecosystem for blockchain experiments. Buterin believes there are honorable communities in crypto whose interests go beyond making quick money. He also encouraged people disillusioned with Ethereum to “move their bags to something else.”
Canadian-Russian programmer stressed that decentralization is “extremely important” and said: “Ultimately, “decentralized” is what this field is all about. At the same time, Buterin said that many communities pay “lip service” for decentralization, but they don’t actually care about it. He points out that many projects don’t even have many customers. In his “Endgame,” Buterin explained several steps a blockchain with centralized block generation could take to make it more decentralized by giving individuals the ability to control the power of centralized parties. The Ethereum co-founder recently withdrew his support for Bitcoin Cash, claiming that the largest Bitcoin fork had failed. He also said he is proud to predict the rise of decentralized exchanges like Uniswap.
