Konami, the publisher of world-famous games such as Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Pro Evolution Soccer, plans to release Castlevania-themed NFT collections.
Before, large companies such as Ubisoft and Square Enix were involved in the NFT market. These breakthroughs, which were a reaction from the players, did not prevent Konami from entering the industry.
The Japan-based firm has decided to publish the Ethereum (ETH)-based NFTs of Castlevania, which celebrates the 35th anniversary of the series. Konami will release 14 NFTs based on classic gameplay footage, soundtracks, and franchise artwork.
The Castlevania NFT auction will begin on January 12 on OpenSea. Konami will post the names of those who have purchased the NFTs on the company’s website if the buyers so desire.
The interest of the gaming industry in NFT projects caused the reaction of the players. However, the crypto community believes that these reactions will decrease after a while and the gaming industry will be more active in the NFT field.
The NFT collection, which will be released in the past weeks with the theme of S. T. A. L. K. E. R., was canceled after the great reaction from the players.
