Cardano, Kusama, and Polkadot ranked in the top 3 in the top 20 project list, based on public Github information, for 2021. The list ranks Ethereum as the 4th most advanced asset and Gnosis as the 5th asset. Evaluations are derived from development data in thousands of public Github repositories monitored by Santiment. Alongside “pure” development activity, Santiment also tracks the number of active contributors to any project’s Github repository for broader insights into “developer networks.”
Although development activity has little impact on short-term market trends, it can be a healthy indicator of a project’s long-term growth. It demonstrates the team’s month-to-month commitment to creating a viable product, improving and upgrading its features, and sticking to the long-term roadmap. Cardano is at the top of the most advanced asset in 2021. According to Santiment Data, Cardano is at the top of the list of top 20 projects by mass development activity. Cardano also tops the list for the amount of active contributors, with an average of 53 daily contributions to the Github repository over the past 12 months. Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK, states that Cardano has more than 178 projects on its website since January 1st.
