Billionaire Mark Cuban has once again challenged Pennsylvania-based entrepreneur and podcaster Preston Pysh on Twitter by mentioning the popular meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE). Cryptocoin. com, we convey the details…
Mark Cuban continues to advocate for the biggest meme coin Dogecoin
Mark Cuban has faced criticism from Pysh for allegedly “pumping” the original meme coin, Dogecoin, after he was reported on Twitter for allegedly making out-of-control cryptocurrency spam. In response, the Dallas Mavericks owner defended his comments that Dogecoin is good for spending. Cuban believes that the inflationary dynamics of the meme coin may actually make it a better currency. This is a clause that Tesla CEO Elon Musk also advocates.
Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus defended Cuban, claiming it was annoying when “keyboard warriors” misinterpreted people’s words. DOGE is trading 80 percent less than the all-time high of $0.73 it saw on May 8, 2021. At the time of writing it is around $0.14. However, Cuban points out that Dogecoin has outperformed Bitcoin in the past year.
Cuban and Pysh faced off during a heated live chat on Twitter Spaces in October. The “Shark Tank” star said he will continue to talk about Dogecoin despite backlash from Bitcoin maximalists. Cuban said it was “fun” to be a part of the meme coin community. Cuban stated that although he warmed to Bitcoin during his cryptocurrency journey last year, he still does not see cryptocurrency as a hedge against inflation. In his most recent tweet, he says that Bitcoin will “never” become a hedge asset.
