According to data from Etherscan, 5.6 million Shiba Inu (SHIB) have been burned in the last 24 hours.
Twitter account shibburn, which shares Etherscan links showing the Shiba Inu meme tokens being burned, reported that 5.6 million SHIBs have been removed from circulation in the past twenty-four hours.
The amount of SHIB burned in the last five days is 22 times more than this burning.
More than 125 Million SHIB Burned in the Last 5 Days
According to Etherscan, it took about fourteen transactions to send a total of over 125 million SHIB tokens to a dead wallet.
The largest of these was carrying 100,000,000 million SHIB, and this was done five days ago.
According to Twitter user shibburn, in the last twenty-four hours, 5.6 million tokens have been burned through six transfers during that time. It showed the SHIB military that 410, 300, 521, 864, 319 SHIBs have been removed from circulation so far out of an initial supply of 1 quadrillion.
NOWPayments, the platform that processes cryptocurrency payments, reported that it plans to add a feature that can be used by investors to burn SHIB tokens.
