American technology giant Apple holds the titles of the most valuable company and the most influential company in the world. However, the categories in which the company sits in the leadership seat do not end with counting. Of course, there is one of them, especially one-to-one to piss off Samsung. Yes, we are talking about the title of the top-grossing company.
According to the researches, the brand that sells the most smartphones in the world is the South Korean technology company Samsung. Because this company will close the year 2022 with a sales of approximately 200 million units. On the other hand, Apple, which is in the second place of the list, is expected to reach a number of around 155 million units. As can be seen from these numbers, Samsung has a clear advantage in terms of units. However, when it comes to the revenue from these sales, things change 180 degrees.
Apple is by far the highest-grossing name in the smartphone industry
According to the study by the famous research and analysis company Counterpoint, Apple received 42% of the revenue from all smartphone sales in the third quarter of 2022. In other words, the American technology giant alone pocketed 42% of the revenues of the entire industry. Moreover, this rate was 37.1% in the same quarter of the previous year.
We see that the share of Samsung, which is in the second place of the list, decreased from 18.5% to 18.3% from last year to this year, while Xiaomi increased its share from 7.7% to 8.3%. Thus, Apple has once again demonstrated how successful it is in generating revenue per product.
