Canadian investment company bought virtual land on Decentraland.
Canadian investment firm Tokens focused on DeFi. com has purchased approximately $2.5 million worth of virtual land on the Decentraland platform. According to the statement, the company purchased 116 parcels of virtual land for a total of 618,000 MANA. The company claimed that the acquisition represented the largest transaction of its kind. This purchase is equivalent to a physical piece of land the size of approximately 1.3 basketball courts.
The company purchased the virtual land in question through the virtual real estate firm Metaverse Group. Metaverse Group also rents and sells virtual land on Cryptovoxels, The Sandbox, Upland and Somnium platforms.
