While Ripple is in the midst of a storm that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is facing in a lawsuit after the regulatory authority sued the blockchain company for illegally selling over $1.3 billion in XRP tokens, self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto launched .
Satoshi listed his negative thoughts about XRP!
Indeed, Australian computer scientist Craig Wright, who claims to be the alleged creator of Bitcoin (BTC) and author of the white paper, told Ripple CTO and one of the original XRP ledger architects, David, in a series of tweets that led Wright to scold XRP. He attacked Schwartz. He described it as ‘a useless pump and drain plan’ on 25 December.
Twitter discussion
Schwartz threw some punches after the whole swap began, with Wright stating that “the system can never be adopted by institutional investors until it is salvaged by a legal court order.”
In the ensuing discussion, Wright said that Schwartz “never really understood Bitcoin” and was “so far from understanding [anything about] Bitcoin that he thought Ripple was somehow related to a blockchain”.
Meanwhile, XRP is receiving criticism from other industry participants, including Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson and Ethereum (ETH) co-founder, who accuse the XRP community of spreading conspiracy theories about the lawsuit against the SEC. Vitalik Buterin says XRP is “still fully decentralized”.
Wright controversy
On the other hand, Wright is known for not choosing words selectively in his public appearances, including an interview with The Sunday Project, where he repeatedly cursed host Hamish Macdonald after he was asked to show proof that he was the mysterious Bitcoin creator.
Earlier in April, Wright said he would eventually sell all of his Bitcoin, which in his opinion amounts to about 1.1 million BTC, “because it is of no use”, raising fears of a 51% attack that could endanger Bitcoin.
