World-renowned game developer and publisher, Ubisoft, announced that it will integrate Blockchain technology into future games, and will also use play-to-win techniques that allow players to earn content by playing games.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot made the following statements in a recent statement;
“As you can see, this industry is changing with many new revolutions taking place. We see blockchain technology as one of these revolutions. Letting more players earn content, own content, will mean more win-win. We think this will greatly expand the industry. That’s why we’re working with many small companies dealing with blockchain technology and we’re starting to gain knowledge on how we can influence the industry. We want to be one of the important players in this sector. ”
Believing that blockchain is very attractive in the long run, Guillemot said that the company is interested in creating digital economies.
