Brave browser got a built-in crypto wallet with Tuesday’s update.
Brave, one of the leading browsers, has a built-in crypto asset wallet with the latest update. The browser has been working with third-party wallet extensions like MetaMask for years and has now taken a major step forward by releasing its own built-in wallet.
The product, called Brave Wallet, allows token purchases through Wyre, monitors portfolio performance, and allows swapping a wide variety of tokens and storing NFTs. The wallet, on the other hand, is self-custodial, in other words, users hold their own private keys. Brave also added that it supports all Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible tokens.
Brave Software, Inc. A company dealing with crypto assets. Alongside its newly launched built-in crypto wallet, its homepage connects to four crypto-asset platforms and shares a portion of its digital advertising revenue with users through its BAT token rewards program. The browser has 42 million monthly active users. Brave also plans to add Solana support in early 2022. For now, the wallet is integrated with EVM-compatible chains such as Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche, and others.
