After a short silence, Dorsey came back to the agenda with a special fund for Bitcoin developers. Dorsey has created a new fund that will defend Bitcoin developers from lawsuits.
The Bitcoin Legal Defense Fund, a non-profit organization, will primarily come to the aid of Bitcoin developers who have been sued by Craig Wright’s Tulip Trading Limited for alleged “violation of security duty.” The fund aims to assist developers in legal disputes that may disrupt their work. It will do this by helping to appoint defense advisers, developing defense strategies, and drafting legal documents. Dorsey used the following statements in his statement on the subject:
