The professional football league, the National Football League (NFL), has presented the “Virtual Souvenir Ticket” NFT collection on the Polygon blockchain.
The league has announced that until the end of 2021, fans attending matches will be able to purchase virtual souvenir tickets in NFT format with a Ticketmaster digital wallet.
NFL Fans Will Be able to Buy NFTs from Licensed NFL Ticketing Networks
NFL fans must have purchased NFTs through licensed NFL Ticketing Networks, Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek in order to receive NFTs.
According to the press release, the league will send tickets to be purchased in certain games as NFT, paired with “Virtual Souvenir Tickets” to users’ Ticketmaster wallets.
On Thursday, the NFL, through Ticketmaster and Polygon, released the first commemorative batch of 125 different NFT collections for each of the league’s 32 teams.

A source from the league told CoinDesk that the NFL is trying different things to gauge users’ reaction.
NFT Market Coming with NFL and Dapper Labs Partnership
At the end of September, the NFL and Dapper Labs announced the imminent launch of the Dapper’s Flow blockchain-based NFT marketplace. The streaming-based NFT market is said to launch before the season ends.
