Microsoft Gaming vice president and Xbox’s most authoritative Phil Spencer shared his thoughts on whether Xbox will enter the NFT gaming world.
Speaking about the future of Xbox at Xbox’s 20th anniversary celebrations, Phil Spencer made statements about the possibilities of Xbox to enter NFT games.
Speaking to Stephen Totilo of Axios, Spencer said that Xbox is researching NFT games, but applying them to the Microsoft store can be exploitative.

Phil Spencer currently considers NFTs to be more exploitative than creative. But he added that he doesn’t think every single NFT game is exploitative, the space is still new and people are on a journey trying to figure it out.
Spencer, who did not welcome the intersection of the game world and the NFT industry, said it is too early for anything now. He thinks that they pay attention to creativity and need to be a little more patient.
